Jennifer S Campbell, PharmD

Jennifer S. Campbell, PharmD graduated from Samford University’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy in May 2000. Dr. Campbell began her career as a pharmacy manager in a large retail chain pharmacy where she was primarily responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy including business planning, performance management, and training and development of team members. As a result of unparalleled success at the store level, Dr. Campbell was promoted to pharmacy supervisor and her transition to the corporate environment began. Dr. Campbell managed a district of 20 pharmacies and 54 pharmacists. In this role, Dr. Campbell shaped the careers of many pharmacists through effective recruitment, impactful training, and comprehensive professional development. Under her leadership, the company promoted 16 pharmacists to the pharmacy manager position and 3 pharmacists to the corporate level. During her tenure as district pharmacy supervisor, Dr. Campbell spearheaded several notable projects including implementation of immunization training for pharmacists, utilization of new pharmacy prescription documentation system, implementation of a proactive pharmacy care model and selection into the company’s emerging leader’s program. Dr. Campbell was promoted to district manager where she was responsible for total store operations. Noteworthy accomplishments during this time included working with store managers to aid them in understanding the intricacies of the pharmacy business, assisting in the development of 3 pharmacy supervisors into their new in the roles and facilitating the opening a college campus store in Tuscaloosa.

Dr. Campbell is also an accomplished speaker on various topics related to health and wellness. Dr. Campbell has participated as an alumni interviewer for prospective pharmacy students at McWhorter School of Pharmacy’s Admissions Committee and the Bulldog Pharmacy Camp for high school students interested in pharmacy school. Dr. Campbell is a licensed preceptor, consultant, and parenteral pharmacist in the state of Alabama. Certifications include Medication Therapy Management and Pharmacogenomics.

Currently Dr. Campbell is a community pharmacy manager at a large retail chain pharmacy; a wife, mother, and GRANDmother.

Dr. Campbell is passionate about equipping patients to be active participants in their health, empowering them to be more knowledgeable about and responsible for their health and ensuring safe and effective medication use.
